My Kid wants a "Skateboard" Help with what to Buy? (Skateboard, Longobard / Ripstik ...

Like most things, the answer is "It Depends".   Short answer, get a Skateboard or a Longboard.   You don’t need the top of the line, but you need one that is good enough to be safe and to not limit beginner performance.

If they have any specific riding experience and ask for a specific board, then generally go with what they want.   Also what their friends have is very important, as you generally need a specific type of board for specific activity.   And always get quality components or the experience will be terrible, they will quit, they may get hurt, and you will have wasted your money.   More on that later.

If they are unsure, here are some specific guidelines and recommendations.......

Happy Go Skateboarding Day is June 21- Go Skate

Every year on June 21, skateboarders around the globe celebrate the pure exhilaration, creativity, and spirit of one of the most influential activities in the world by blowing off all other obligations to go skateboarding.

Stuck at home?   Raining and can’t make it outside.   Use your SkaterTrainers to fill the gap and improve your skills while you wait.

For inspiration, check out this video.   Its way beyond how to Ollie or how to kickflip.  Super slow motion (1000 frames per second) and high definition of some really complex kickflip, spin, varial, and shove maneuvers. Basic flatground tricks that you can do anywhere,....that is if you can do them.    Be sure to watch all the way to the end, when they show the tricks in real time.   Prepare to have your mind blown!  Practice with your SkaterTrainers.

There are lots of events going on all over the USA today, so go check them out if you can ans support your local community.

SkaterTrainer Demo - Ollie and Kickflip

This is Eric from Quickie Mart showing off the SkaterTrainers on his board.   He was checking them out and was nice enough to throw an ollie and a kickflip for us to shoot.   He is a very experienced skater who is super smooth with some serious moves.

Notice the pop, and how the skateboard responds just like a real skateboard because..... it is a real skateboard.  Its his board that he rides every day.   He makes it look too easy.    Get a set of SkaterTrainers and start practicing so you can Learn to Ollie, Learn to Kickflip, Learn to Heelflip, or what ever trick you are trying to get past.
